School Site Council
School Site Council
The School Site Council (SSC) is a representative body composed of school staff, parents, community members, and, at the secondary level, students. Its primary responsibility is to guide the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and support alignment with the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
The SSC evaluates the effectiveness of school programs, oversees the use of supplemental funding, seeks input from advisory committees, and helps to reaffirm or revise school goals. At Silverwood, the SSC is responsible for allocating improvement funds to support students’ academic achievement and social development.
Members of Silverwood's School Site Council are elected to serve two-year terms.
